My Garden Is Blooming

We have been having beautiful weather and I have taken time away from the computer
to enjoy more time in the garden and visiting with friends.  I thought you might like to
see what's blooming in my garden so far this summer.

"Ella" is new to me this summer and I think she is quite beautiful...

This rose has been with me for many years.  The apricot color varies with every stage of it's
blooming and it is always a surprise...

The final bloom is a softer hue and the size of a saucer...

Eternal Sunshine is always bright and sunny.  You almost have to wear sunglasses when this
rose is blooming, even on a cloudy day...

This is the show-off rose.  Absolutely loves to be dramatic...definitely not a shrinking violet....

I promise I'm getting to the very feminine pink roses!

The sage is also in full bloom which the bumble bees and hummingbirds love and all the flowers
benefit from that...

Even the cactus and all the succulents are in bloom...

Okay, back to the roses...

It looks like a little critter has landed on this old beauty...

Ahh, the lovely English roses....

Eglantyne is a soft and lovely pink rose...

Strawberry Hill is a bit brighter pink and also very beautiful...

I will save my other flowers for a future post.  Right now I am looking forward to visiting  all of your
lovely blogs over the next few days.

I hope you all enjoy a lovely weekend.

  2. Stunning and gorgeous. I cannot grow roses in our humidity except for the knockouts which is kind of like cheating. Your weather and skill makes for beautiful roses. Do show me more please. hugs, olive

  8. Your Eglantyne rose is stunning, I paint huge canvases of roses, you might want to look at them, if you got my blog and look at my "page" headed "my paintings" you can see them. I specialise in only flowers.

Looking at these roses has made me realise I must finish my work in progress which I haven't touched for ages as my mum sadly is terminally ill and moved in with me and my artistic side is just keeping my blog together, no painting at all.

Thank you for sharing these, I am certainly inspired to try painting again.

  39. Oh my word...your garden of blooms are SOOOO gorgeous!!! Can you come over here and help me plant some roses to my ever drab front and back yard?!?! lol Gosh, I wish I could plant something and not have it die on me!!! :( I suppose I have to get used to the valley weather! When I lived near Mar Vista, the weather was perfect!!! But where I am, things tend to dry up a bit faster if I don't water them daily!!! And I tend to forget! lol Anyway, thank you for the constant garden inspiration. :) Take care and have a beautiful day!

    Hugs,
    Jessie
