Last weekend I walked over to our local Farmer's Market. In fact, our entire neighborhood
seems to meet at the Farmer's Market on the weekends. It seems to be the place we all catch
up with each other after our busy weekday schedules. I arrived very early, around 8am, and was
amazed to find the market packed with shoppers. I have a feeling spring fever has hit everyone so
even though it was early everyone was out enjoying the beautiful spring weather. I left my regular
camera at home and just took my easy to carry little point and shoot camera with me because I had
intended to take several photos but the market was so packed I was only able to get a few. So, I
have mixed in a few pictures from last year.
I love the springtime bounty of fresh veggies and fruits and flowers...
I especially like the organic stands...
My weakness...
I think strawberry season is my very favorite season...
Our Farmer's Market is quite large and farmers come from all over California...
The best part is when I get everything home and start cooking!
Later in the day, a friend and I met at Paulette's French Macaron Shop for a little macaron treat...
I hope you all have a great weekend with lots of fresh fruits and veggies...and definitely a little
sweet treat or two!

Hi Susan: That is some beautiful Farmer's Market. Are you any chance by Solvang, CA. They have one of the most beautiful markets I've ever seen and it looked alot like yours. Our local market doesn't open until Memorial Day and it takes awhile to load up on everything, but is very nice when in full swing. I love the meeting place, like you say, that they seem to be..Happy Thursday..Judy
Hello, how beautiful. It is so good to have a day such as this. The produce looks like it just got picked from the garden. Then a visit with you friend and a macaroon. How lovely. It really is the little things that make life special.
Thanks for sharing
Helen xx
Susan those pictures you took look fabulous! I can't wait for our farmers markets to get into full swing. I'm a strawberry hound and could eat them everyday but those macarons...yum! Enjoy a few for me please.

Susan, you probably
take all this luscious,
fresh goodness for
granted, living in CA!
If E gets into one of
her CA schools, I am
looking forward to
visiting a farmer's market,
there. Ours are JUST
starting to get in the
swing of things, but
we won't have much
variety until later in
the summer.
Happy Day,
xo Suzanne
PS: I'd say you have
a way with a point and
shoot; your pics are so
beautiful!!
OH YUM...everything looks SO GOOD! This reminds me of the French Market my sister and I went to in the village of Versailles just out of Paris. It was wonderful listening to the vendors calling out in French and there was a little old gypsy lady playing a little squeeze box accordion while a little girl danced to her music. The fruit and vegetables looked gorgeous just like in your photo's. I bet your meal tasted wonderful! Enjoy your Friday and weekend.
Maura :)
Oh, that farmer's market looks glorious! The fruits and vegetables look so delicious, don't they?! But, of course, the macarons look so yummy too. Hope you have a nice weekend :)
This is easy for me. I want some of everything. And, those strawberries look delicious.

Hi Susan: Oh my, those strawberries are glorious! What a splendid picture they make, and those beets too! Your Farmer's Market looks really nice and a good place to meet up with friends too. Now as to those macarons, I would love to try a couple! I have yet to actually taste a real one. Thank you for your visit and Happy Pink weekend.

Susan,
Your pictures are breathtaking!!! All that glorious farm fresh food.

That farmer's market looks awesome. Although our market is fairly small, it is one of my favorite summer activities. I love looking at all of the things that people make and produce. Thanks for sharing a piece of your life with me. Stopping by from Pink Saturday. Hope to see you at True Aim.
Wow Susan,
These products are fabulous, it's great to shop local!
I think I can smell the sweet freshness of that produce right through the screen
Have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Pink Saturday!

wow-what great photos-and my mouth is watering just looking at them!
the strawberries and macaroons are my favorites!
Fresh produce with the roots still attached, attesting their just-picked freshness---irresistible.
And the tee-ninecy squash---couldn't you just bite them like an apple?
As for the macarons, I'll have one from Column Pink, one from Column Green, two from Column Yellow . . .
the vegetables look so yummy!
Pink Blooms, have a blessed Sunday!
I love to visit our local farmer's market. This year it has split, and we have two. I'm still not sure it is a good idea. I did a post last year on the state market. I love browsing the markets and looking at all the wonderful produce and flowers. Your photos are great, my favorite being of course the pretty strawberries. I love strawberries!.
Great post.

Wow! What beautiful produce! The strawberries are making my mouth water!
Those strawberries look wonderful! It will be a while before we see any up here, but our farmers' markets are setting up with the earliest offerings from the greenhouses. I enjoyed all the views you showed - what a wonderful market!
Oh the bounty! Those berries are beautiful, we are at the end of strawberry season here. Lucky, lucky you to live in the country's salad bowl and have all that fresh, beautiful produce! We have a tiny farmers market nearby we like to stroll through on Saturday mornings. Love the rainbow selection of sweet macarons too :)
That is awesome! Thank you for joining me at Home Sweet Home!
