The Delightful Sweet Peas





I am delighted to say that the Sweet Peas are blooming in southern California.  I love these
sweet little flowers.
I thought I would show you some of the photos I took last summer while visiting The Flower
Fields in Calabasas and also some from my own garden.  I hope you enjoy seeing them
(you may have seen a couple of them before)...

    The picture of the sweetpeas in a vase against the red napkins should be in a magazine!!! Why isn't it in a magazine? :) I'm always surprised at the differences between our weather and growing seasons. My brother grows sweetpeas too, something we won't see until July.

    Beautiful pictures, as always. I love sweet peas, I have some coming up in my garden. I've never had red ones though. And the one's in your pictures are so pretty.

    I am growing several varieties of sweet peas this year for the first time. A friend with a greenhouse started them from seed for me and if mine look half as pretty as yours, I'll be happy.
    I chose all fragrant selections and I know they are a super cutting flower. Love the red you have.

    oh, how beautiful. i just told a family member last night, "we need four o'clocks and sweet peas in our yard this year. they're so sweet, cottagey, simple, and homey!"
