On A Beautiful Hot Summer Day...

One of my favorite things to do during the summer is visit Roger's Garden in
Corona del Mar, California...

The gardens are always beautiful and the gift shop and fine art gallery are always lovely.
Visiting here can never be a quick visit because there is always so much to see.
Let's begin with the garden because it is such a bright warm day.  However, because it
is so warm today we won't stay out too long...

So many varieties of flowers and plants...

Several waterfalls and fountains certainly make a warm day seem a bit cooler...

So many different ways to add interest to a garden...

I know we are getting toward the end of the season for roses but here are just a few
they are still offering...

We are very fortunate in Southern California that our rose growing season lasts well
into the year.

Now, let's take a peek inside the gift shop...

I look forward to going back to visit during the Christmas season because their displays
are always so beautiful.

I hope you have a lovely and peaceful week.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all on the east coast who were touched by
hurricane Irene.  I hope you are safe and with little damage.

Look at all the pretty roses! It seems like California has so many wonderful shops and gardens. Around here the pickings are pretty slim in comparision...maybe that has to do with the weather though.

I really love "Ebb Tide" and "April in Paris"! I haven't been over to Rogers Gardens in a long time. I love to wander through there. Everything is just so beautiful! Thanks for reminding me of what I've been missing.

Take care, Sue

The gift shop is just fantastic! Wish I lived closer and could visit...You certainly do have the climate for roses out there: we have them, but the season is so short as it just gets too hot..enjoy!

Beautiful Roses. I can only grow a subset of roses - but hardy roses have enough variety to suit me. I try not to give myself over to Zone Envy.

I used to live around the corner and would spend hours here and way too much $$$! Haven't visited in a couple of years now but from your tour I can see it is a lovely as ever. It's also fabulous during the Christmas holiday season. Hope you are enjoying these last days of summer.

Beautiful roses! I don't have many because I have limited sunny spots. I have one Grandiflora, Queen Elizabeth that has done very well for me. Love the Rogers Garden gift shop! Looks like my kind of place to visit all the way around! Thx for coming by my blog!

I'm so glad that you stopped by my blog earlier because otherwise I would have missed visiting Roger's Gardens with you.
The roses are stunning, so is that gorgeous blue sky!
The gift shop is a place where I could browse for quite a while, too.
Thanks for the virtual tour.

All I can say is that it is a good thing I wasn't there with you! I would have definitely have come home a little poorer. I love some of the white and green pots. The birdcages would have also been hard to resist. And that is not even considering all the tempting plants and roses!

You are a girl after my own heart!!! Rogers Gardens---such a treat. We bought about seven or eight rose bushes there and they are doing so well right now.
