Going To A Garden Party

Well, I have put on my sun hat and I’m joining Sarah’s Garden Party at
Modern Country Style.  Here are a few of my peonies from last spring.
I hope they cheer you up on a cold winter’s day....And I’m looking forward
to seeing the new peonies this spring!

My heart goes out to all of you who are suffering with more snow and freezing
temperatures.  Hopefully Modern Country Style's garden party will cheer you
and be a reminder that spring will eventually get here.

Hope to see you there.

Those peonies are gorgeous, and you are right--they did cheer me up! We are buried in snow and ice and I know that somewhere underneath are my peonies, waiting to bloom! Linda

Susan, I love peonies and your's are breathtaking!! You are so lucky to be able to grow them in your area. We get too hot here, but if I could grow them I would. I can not wait to see your garden in the spring. Your images are always so beautiful. Hope you are having a great week,Kathysue

I've just come in from a walk around my garden - everything is coated with frost. Frozen birdbaths, frozen water pails and rhodos that seem to be shivering. brrrrrr

Beautiful. Do you know I have never seen a peonie in person? They do not grow in the Georgia heat well. ♥O

It's ok that you keep torturing us snow bunnies with your blooms only because they're beautiful. And eventually is right, sooner or later this snow has to melt! Enjoy your party!

Be still my
Northern beating
heart....! What
gorgeous pics
that have me
dreaming of my
own peonies, which
will appear in MAY
sometime, along
with the lilacs.
May here is amazing.
Thanks for the brief
respite from the cold!

Hi Everyone-Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I have just been listening to the news and hear many of you are still getting heavy snow and freezing temps. This winter has been much too harsh and freezing cold. I'm hoping you all get an early spring with lots of warm sunny days.

Oh your photos make me long for springtime and the sweet smell of peonies! They are calling for snow here tonight, so these will help me forget my winter blues!

Peonies are my favorite! I just have two of them, but if I had more room I'd do at least 10. I love their smell.

The peonies were just the thing needed to to warm my cold bones tonight!! I do love those plants and have 3 plants but they do not bloom abundantly for me. If you have any tips for these beauties I would so appreciate it!

I planted some peony trees last year. I do hope they survived our snow and that they'll begin to show their potential this season. Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! Thank you ever so much for linking up.

Gorgeous. Peonies are one of my most favorite flowers. You don't find them too often in South Florida. I wish I lived in a climate where these would grow. Yours are beautiful. Can't wait to see them in the Spring.

Your peonies are GORGEOUS, Susan!! I just bought some at Lowe's on Thursday and will be planting them in the garden today. I hope they bloom in the first season, so I can have some to bring inside the house... love them!!
Hope you have a happy Valentine's Day, my friend!♥
