Winter Succulents

As the lovely roses start to fade for a bit of a winter's rest...

The hardy succulents continue to thrive...

With all their many varieties...

Shapes...

Sizes...

And colors...

They are happy in a rustic setting...

Or a bit more formal...

Along with a statue of Bernadette...

purchased from Atelier De Campagne...

So while other flowers are taking a bit of a rest, succulents
have captured my heart...

However,  until my roses return in full bloom, I must always
have some pink flowering near my door...

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

  1. We're having a mild winter so far, but still not mild enough for flowers to be blooming on the veranda. Succulents we have - and you've inspired me to highlight them a little.
Lovely post, S. The little praying figure among the pots is perfect.

  2. Your succulents are so beautiful and healthy. Mine get a little bitten back by the cold here but I still leave them out all winter. I have some ghost plant from 1985 that I have given pieces of it to dozens of people. I love that the little petals if just left on top of the soil will grow another flower. Lovely post and images.

  7. Happy New Year Susan! I’m jealous you have anything growing this time of the year. We’re having a very mild winter so far but everything is still hiding in the ground. You have a beautiful variety of succulents and I love your mix of containers. Wishing you the best for the year ahead!

  11. What an awesome post! I love succulents to. I don't have as good a luck as you do with them though. I potted a bunch of them and lost them all over the summer... Do they not like high heat??? Anyway! Your pics are wonderful! :)

Thank you so much for adding your link to Fresh-Cut Friday!

    Happy New Year!

  14. Susan,
Your succulents are truly beautiful. This is a plant that I have grown fond of in recent years. When I was younger, I didn't give them a second glance. But, now I realize that they are hearty and beautiful in a different way.

And, of course, anything blooming in pink will steal my heart!

All the best in 2012 to you!
    xo Elizabeth

  17. Gorgeous! I love the planter pots you have them in too. It's very cold here and unfortunately succulents would not be happy with our weather, giggle. But yours are wonderful. I enjoyed my visit to your lovely blog. Happy Pink Saturday! Hugs. P.S. I hope you will stop by and say hello and enter my Pink Poodle giveaway :-)
