Starting To Get Ready For Christmas

I have been working long hours on a project (a good thing).
I have not been home very much (a bad thing).

With less than a week until Christmas, last night in the wee hours was the first
chance I had to start putting out some Christmas things.

I think this golden bird has been patiently waiting...

And, it wouldn't be Christmas without the Dove...

And roses from the garden...

A few run-away silver ornaments will add a bit of sparkle...

The blush from the candle casts gentle shadows of a lovely bird...

And, the candle's brilliance turns silver to gold...The magic of Christmas!

Crystal sugar and creamers prove ideal vessels for small rosemary trees...

And roses...

The candle's radiance celebrates the reflection of a silver tray beneath the
floating candles and adds just the right amount of sparkle and glow...

Floating roses on silver...

It is beginning to come together...

It will change several times in the next couple of days...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

  10. ....and Merry Christmas to you too!
I think that roses at Christmas are the most beautiful ornaments - so rich, so luxurious, so precious.
I hope you have a peaceful holiday.

  12. Ah, roses and rosemary,
    two of my favorites!!
    Yowzer, girlie, YOU have
    the touch ~ this looks
    amazing! And, you are a
    "bird girl," like I am : )
    I was lucky enough to
    receive two new ones
this year, to add to my
    ever-growing "flock!"
I would love to use only
    fresh greens, someday,
    when I live somewhere
    milder. The flip side
to that is all the lovely
    snow we've had this year,
    which adds a very special
    Christmas touch. Hope
    your project wraps up long
    enough for you to ENJOY
    these next two weeks, Susan.
    Merry Tuesday....and
    beyond!
    xx Suzanne

  25. Well you have the gift, as it certainly does not take you long to make the magic happen...I love the elegant simplicity of each tableau...the use of your gorgeous garden roses with the little evergreen trees amidst the soulfulness of other every day treasures...proving that the magic comes not from the material elements from weeks of buying and assembling, but rather it springs from within. Truly beautiful and magical. May you continue to enjoy all the wonder of the season.

  29. How amazing to be able to bring roses in from your garden for Christmastime. I get so used to the weather here - and the bare garden at this time of year - that it's hard to imagine how you're having different weather over there! I love the colours of those roses. Beautiful.

I hope you had a marvellous Christmas and that you have a
    Happy New Year!
